Intueo Labs at Web Summit Vancouver 2026: Making AI Practical, Accessible, and Impactful

May 14, 2026

This week, Intueo Labs had the privilege of exhibiting at Web Summit Vancouver 2026, one of the world's most influential technology conferences. From May 12-14, we joined over 20,000 attendees, 1,200 startups, and 768 investors at the Vancouver Convention Centre to share our mission: making AI practical, accessible, and impactful.

A Growing Global Stage

Web Summit Vancouver's second year showed remarkable growth, with attendance up 29% from the inaugural 2025 event. As Web Summit founder Paddy Cosgrave noted during opening remarks, "We meet at a critical moment in the history of technology." The conference buzzed with conversations about AI's trajectory, from the open-source versus proprietary debate to real-world applications transforming industries.

For Intueo, this was more than a chance to exhibit. It was an opportunity to connect with like-minded founders, investors, and enterprise leaders who share our belief that AI should do more than generate text. It should take action.

Our Booth: A6-34 in the ALPHA Zone

We were proud to be featured in the AI & Machine Learning section of the ALPHA zone, surrounded by innovative startups pushing the boundaries of what AI can do. Our booth became a hub for conversations about:

Voice AI that actually works. We demonstrated how our AI receptionist handles real scheduling workflows, integrates with CRMs and calendars, and maintains context across complex multi-turn conversations. Attendees were particularly interested in how our system differs from simple chatbots by being truly agentic, capable of taking actions rather than just generating responses.

Sage: The AI that remembers. We showcased our stateful AI platform that maintains persistent memory across sessions, enabling genuine collaboration over days, weeks, and months. The reaction from visitors was consistent: this is what enterprise AI should look like.

Local AI expertise. As a Vancouver-based company, we were proud to represent the growing BC tech ecosystem. The conference highlighted major investments in the region, including Telus's announcement of massive AI data centers and Nutanix's Vancouver expansion.

Key Themes from the Conference

The conversations at Web Summit reflected several trends we've been building toward:

The shift from demos to deployment. Attendees were less interested in impressive demos and more focused on AI that works reliably in production. This aligns perfectly with our emphasis on operational dependability over benchmark performance.

Agentic AI is the next frontier. Multiple sessions explored how AI systems that can take actions, not just generate content, represent the next wave of enterprise adoption. Our Voice AI and automation tools were positioned squarely in this category.

Integration matters more than intelligence. The most sophisticated model means nothing if it cannot connect to the systems businesses already use. Our deep integrations with CRMs, calendars, and communication tools resonated strongly with enterprise attendees.

The local tech ecosystem is thriving. Vancouver continues to emerge as a global AI hub. Between major announcements from Telus, Nutanix, and others, plus the departure of TED to California creating space for new marquee events, the city's tech identity is evolving rapidly.

Connections and Conversations

Beyond the booth, Web Summit's AI-powered networking facilitated 157 meetups throughout the week, connecting attendees with shared interests. We had meaningful conversations with:

  • Healthcare organizations exploring voice AI for patient scheduling
  • Professional services firms interested in AI that maintains institutional knowledge
  • Investors focused on enterprise AI infrastructure
  • Fellow founders building complementary tools in the agentic AI space

The first-ever Web Summit Hackathon also showcased the creative energy in Vancouver's developer community, with teams building solutions to improve live event experiences.

Emerging from Stealth Mode

Web Summit marked an important milestone for Intueo Labs. For the past year, we have been heads-down in research and development, building and refining our agent platform away from the spotlight. We deliberately stayed quiet in the market, focusing entirely on getting the technology right rather than chasing headlines.

This conference was our first major public appearance since entering this intensive development phase. We used the opportunity not just to showcase what we have built, but to test our ideas against real market feedback. The response exceeded our expectations and validated the direction we have been pursuing.

We are now preparing to emerge from this R&D phase and bring our platform to market. The conversations at Web Summit gave us confidence that the timing is right. Businesses are hungry for AI that delivers real operational value, and that is exactly what we have spent the last year building.

Looking Ahead

Web Summit Vancouver has confirmed its return for 2027, and we are already looking forward to showing what we have built over the coming year. The conversations this week reinforced our conviction that businesses are ready for AI that does real work, not just AI that sounds impressive.

If you met us at Web Summit and want to continue the conversation, or if you could not attend but want to learn more about what we are building, we would love to hear from you.
